The ASEAN Center for Multilingualism, Translation & Interpretation (ASEAN MTI) aims to:

Develop a scheme of standards for multilingual translation and interpretation in accordance with international quality and standards.
Promote production and development of qualified translators and interpreters through training programs with ASEAN certificates.
Provide certified translation and interpreting services to member countries and functions and activities of the ASEAN.
Undertake study, research, development and establishing a knowledge and learning center on advanced technology and collaborating with the world.
