MULTILINGUALISM – UNITY IN DIVERSITY

Multilingualism is the unifying foundation supporting the ASEAN motto of “One Vision, One Identity, One Community”. It is a key strategy to protect the rights of every Member State against external interference, subversion, or coercion, whilst facilitating effective cooperation amongst them. Multilingualism brings ASEAN much closer its people, enabling them to engage and to have a sense of ownership of this Community.
